protobuf入门指南

1, 下载compiler和源代码，或直接下bin包
http://code.google.com/p/protobuf/downloads/ 

build protobuf: 

./configure
make
make check
make install

2, 建立一个addressbook.proto 

package tutorial;

message Person {
  required string name = 1;
  required int32 id = 2;
  optional string email = 3;

  enum PhoneType {
    MOBILE = 0;
    HOME = 1;
    WORK = 2;
  }

  message PhoneNumber {
    required string number = 1;

}

3, 生成C++的stub 

protoc --cpp_out=. ./addressbook.proto

运行上面的命令将生成addressbook.pb.h和addressbook.pb.cc
