梦想经不起等待 -- 美文转载

There is an old Spanish Proverb which states, "Tomorrow is often the busiest day of the week". How many times have we put off our dreams until tomorrow? I’d say, way too many. Our dreams should not, and cannot wait. We have to go for them now! Here’s why.

有句古老的西班牙谚语：明天经常是一周中最忙碌的一天。有多少次咱们曾把梦想托付给明天？要我说，太屡次。梦想不该等待，也经不起等待。咱们必须立刻行动。道理以下：

1. Tomorrow is not promised

明天不必定到来

Nobody likes to talk about death, but the reality is – everybody is going to die at one point. None of us know the day, or the hour. Therefore, today is all we have. Don’t go to your grave with unfulfilled dreams. Make the decision to go after every dream, big or small right now.

没人愿意谈论死亡，但现实是——死亡必然到来。哪一天或哪一刻没人能说得清。因此，咱们真正拥有的是今天。不要因未实现梦想抱憾而终。梦想，或伟大或平凡，不论怎样，从即刻起，做出追逐每一个梦想的决定。

2. The world is waiting on your gift

世界须要你

I know this may be hard to believe, but the world is waiting on YOU! Yes, YOU! You were born into the world with a unique gift, which nobody on this earth can duplicate. Sure, other people may be able to sing. But they’ll never be able to sing exactly like you. Sure other people can write, but they’ll never be able to write from the same perspective in which you write. Don’t deprive the world of your gift. It’s the oxygen that we need to survive. Thus, it is your responsibility to figure out exactly what your gift is, and use to better your life and the lives of those around you.

我知道，可能你不相信，可是世界的确须要你!是的，就是你！你在这个世界上独一无二，地球上无人能够替代。固然，有的人可能歌唱得好，可是，他们的风格却老是有别于你的。有的人擅长写做，可是他们却永远不能站在你的视角来描述事物。不要对世界吝惜你的天赋。它是咱们生存须要的氧气。所以，发掘并利用本身的天赋，承担起改善本身和他人生活的责任。

3. Unless you take the first step, your dreams will never come true

若是跨不出第一步，梦想将终归是梦想

You can dream about writing the great American play all you want, but it’s never going to happen unless you actually put pen to paper. You can dream about finding a cure for cancer, but it will never happen unless you actually go to school to become equipped with the necessary tools to find that cure. In other words, dreams don’t work unless you do. They require you to get your head out of the clouds, and actually do the work to make them happen. Get to it!

写出一部伟大的美剧是你的最大梦想，可是，若是不拿起笔，这部伟大的美剧将永远不会问世。你梦想找到治愈癌症的良方，可是，若是你不学习，不用发现良方所需的工具和手段来武装本身，那仅是纸上谈兵。换句话说，除非身体力行，不然梦想终归是梦想。实现梦想要求你别再作白日梦，而是朝着梦想努力。因此，立刻行动吧！

4.You can’t let fear win

不能输给恐惧

One of the biggest dream killers is fear. There are so many people who could have achieved amazing things if only they weren’t afraid. Just think about all the things you’ve wanted to do, but allowed fear to convince you that you weren’t capable, or good enough. In the movie After Earth, Will Smith’s character says, "Fear is not real. It is a product of thoughts you create. Do not misunderstand me. Danger is very real. But fear is a choice." Choose not to let fear stop you from achieving your dreams.

恐惧是梦想最可怕的杀手。要是可以克服恐惧，不少人可以成就大事。想一想那些你一直想作，但被不具有能力、或者不够好的担忧慑服而放弃的事情。在电影《重返地球》中，威尔·史密斯饰演的角色说：“恐惧并不真实存在，仅是思想的产物。别误会。危险真实存在，可是恐惧是一种选择。”选择不要让恐惧成为你实现梦想的障碍。

5. Possibilities you never knew existed are waiting on you

不作，你永远不知道机会在等你

There are so many amazing opportunities and people waiting on you. Films festivals, panels, boards, the top people in your field, all these things are waiting on you! How do you get to them? Simple. Follow your dream. Doors that you couldn’t imagine open up when you go after what you want. You’ll never see those doors if you sit around waiting on a dream to happen, instead of actually working to make it happen.

有太多大好的机会，有太多人对你拭目以待。电影节、事务委员会、董事会、你领域的精英团体，全部这些都在恭候你的光临！你怎能与它们亲密接触?简单得很，随梦而行。追逐梦想时，那些你没法想像的大门为你敞开。若是坐等梦想实现，而不是经过努力去实现梦想，你将永远看不到那些门。

6. You’ll be much happier if you go for it

追逐梦想让你更快乐

Imagine how much happier you’ll be if you’re living the life you always dreamed about. The only thing that is stopping you, is you. Take control of your own happiness. Don’t keep your dreams waiting. Go after them today!

想像一下，若是你过着梦想的生活，你会多么快乐。阻止你追逐梦想的只有你本身。把握本身的幸福，不要让梦想等待。从今天开始，就朝着梦想进发吧！
