17.Getting to the essence of things.抓住事情的本质

From today on, I think I should keep a diary.

1. To the CCU University class of 2021,the graduate students and the undergradutes,I'm honored to be among the first to congratulate you on compeleting your years at CCU University.2021届的硕士们和本科毕业生们，我很荣幸，可以捷足先登，最早来祝贺你们完成了大家在长春大学的学业。
2. Not overdo sth.适可而止。
3. Today we're literally beaming,with a little bit of relief and lots of tenderness.今天,咱们发自心里的高兴，同时还有 少量的轻松，也有不少的欣慰。
4. Tell us it'll be okay.告诉咱们这些就能够了。
5. take sth to heart.谨记某事。
6. I take my friends and our teachers'advice to heart。我将会谨记朋友们和老师的建议。
7. Employment prospects for the graduating seniors are,let's face it,rather grim.能够坦率的说，如今的就业前景对于毕业生来讲，至关严峻。
8. While you are not faced with stagflation(n.滞涨，通货膨胀) exactly,your expectations of the job market have no doubt been flattened(v.（使）变平) if you entered Stanford，but that's not the case.若是你没有真正的遭遇过通货膨胀，毫无疑问，若是大家可以进入斯坦福大学，大家的就业前景就一片光明了，可是事实并不是如此。
9. But here you are, the Class of 2021, And times have changed.可是，如今大家是2021届的毕业生，时代已经改变了。

I am scared of leaving the protective bubble of the place for places unknown,during uncertain Internet times... and I am afraid for squandering(v.浪费) the incredible gift of my college experience on pursuits that are't commensurate(adj.相称的) with expections I... and others... had of me.I am scared of not doing it all,of making irrevocable mistakes.我惧怕离开大学这个保护伞，惧怕在不肯定的互联网时代去未知的地方... 并且我也惧怕将我在大学所得到的惊人的才华浪费在与我和你们对个人指望不相称的事情上，我惧怕无所事事，也惧怕犯下没法挽回的错误。
11. If you are scared today,let me ask you this:What will you do with your fear?Will you let it become a motivator,or an inhibitor?若是今天你感受到了惧怕，那么我来问你几个问题：大家该如何面对大家成长过程当中的恐惧呢？是让它变成大家前进的动力仍是成长的阻碍？

20. It's true that after I chose this road I never looked back,but I still didn't know where to look,either.The important thing is, I am now in control. The only expections I had to live up are my own.自从我选择了这条路后我历来没有回头看过，到如今我也不知道要朝那里看。重要的是，我能掌控本身的事情了。我惟一不能辜负的就是我对本身得指望了。

28. That's the final realization I'll share with you, the realization that not only do you have control over your own life, but that you have the power to make a difference in other people's lives. 这就是我最后想和大家分享的领悟。我意识到，你不只可以控制本身的生活，也有能力去影响其余人的生活。
