项目介绍
ABCP(Association of British Chinese Professors, 全英华人教授协会)，是由400+位在英华人教授组成的专业团体，致力于扩大协会成员的影响力，强化中英两国间的深度合作。协会成员代表着在英国各学科领域华人学者的最高学术水准。
ABCP 暑期线上科研项目（ABCP-ORTSS）将为优秀大学生提供接受英国学者科研训练的机会，旨在帮助参与学生更好地为将来申请研究型学位（PhD/研究型硕士）及未来科研生涯做准备。学生将在英国大学资深学者（有过成功指导PhD学生的经验）的指导下针对特定前沿课题，进行8周的小组研究。
项目期间，指导导师将安排科研训练研讨会，以便学生能了解在一个国际化的学术环境（如英国大学）中进行科研的不同方面。学生需把所学知识应用于研究中，并在导师指导下获得科研实践经验。在整个项目期间，学生还将持续得到目前在英国大学工作的博士生或博士后研究员的支持。
项目结束后，学生将收获其指导导师的评估，并获得由ABCP颁发的证书。学生也将有机会获得其指导导师的推荐信、继续和指导导师合作完成项目并合著发表研究成果，以及在其指导导师或其他英国学者下攻读PhD的机会。

For both projects, the applicants are expected to have a sufficient level of programming skills (web programming, Android development, Python, Java, C/C++, etc.). A good understanding of related mathematical concepts. For the first project, past experience with empirical studies and statistical tests will be advantageous. For the second project, the applicants are required to be good at using different software libraries for multiple data analytics tasks.
