Tomcat是Apache软件基金会(Apache Software Foundation)的Jakarta 项目中的一个核心项目,由Apache、Sun和其余一些公司及我的共同开发而成。
Tomcat服务器是一个免费的开放源代码的Web应用服务器,属于轻量级应用服务器,在中小型系统和并发访问用户不是不少的场合下被广泛使用,是开发和调试JSP程序的首选。
Tomcat和Nginx、Apache(httpd)、lighttpd等Web服务器同样,具备处理HTML页面的功能,另外它仍是一个Servlet和JSP容器,独立的Servlet容器是Tomcat的默认模式。不过,Tomcat处理静态HTML的能力不如Nginx/Apache服务器。html

JVM的内存优化(堆内存和非堆内存)

Tomcat启动用户权限必须非root权限,尽可能下降tomcat启动用户的目录访问权限,如需直接对外使用80端口,可经过普通帐号启动后,配置iptables规则进行转发, 为了防止 Tomcat 被植入 web shell 程序后,能够修改项目文件。要将 Tomcat 和项目的属主作分离,即使被破坏也没法建立和编辑项目文件
