How to Install MemSQL

MemSQL runs natively on 64-bit Linux operating systems. Your system hardware must have at least 4 CPU cores and 8 GB of RAM, and you must using a supported distribution of Linux. For more information, see our System Requirements.

Download the MemSQL tar file

Open the Terminal App on your computer and execute theses commands. They download the MemSQL tar file to the /tmp directory (or a path of your own choosing).

cd /tmp
wget http://download.memsql.com/memsql-ops-6.0.10/memsql-ops-6.0.10.tar.gz

Extract the contents of the tar file

This command extracts the MemSQL executable from the tar file to a folder with the same name.

tar zxvf memsql-ops-6.0.10.tar.gz

Run the installer script and deploy a simple cluster

These commands navigate to the extracted folder and then run an installer script that installs MemSQL as a simple cluster with one master aggregator and one leaf.

cd memsql-ops-6.0.10
sudo ./install.sh --simple-cluster

Connect to the MemSQL client

memsql

而后你可使用 mysql 的命令行或者是 mysql 的客户端工具链接到 MemSQL，跟链接到 MySQL 的方法同样，例如：

$ mysql -u root -h 127.0.0.1 -P 3307 --prompt="memsql> "

你也可使用一些图形化的数据库管理工具来链接。

使用 MemSQL 跟使用 MySQL 没有区别：）

 

删除：

memsql-ops memsql-delete 可删除数据库
